On to the next crop!

Today we began planting thousands of Rudbeckia more commonly known as Black-eyed Susans. They produce a wonderful show of bright flowers in late July, early August. The plants are potted right out in our field with our potting machine and crew. The plants head out on the conveyer belt and are placed side by side on the ground where they will be watered then eventually spaced and placed on a drip line which will water everyday automatically. Most of these Rudbeckia are shipped to Ontario Flower Growers in Mississauga where we regularly send plants. Others will be available here at our store
and some will be shipped to other stores around. After the Rudbeckia are done, we will start planting Garden Mums for the fall. That takes around a week to plant those provided the weather cooperates. If you are still needing plants for your gardens or pots, we still have a nice selection. Have a great weekend! :)
