We are in the middle of a glorious week! The longer evenings are great because even if you work all day, the evening can still be enjoyed. On Monday evening, I took my daughter to town for a haircut. It seemed as if everyone had come alive, out of hibernation! People were walking, cleaning up their yards, biking and playing catch with baseball and glove. It's good to see, hear and smell spring! Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" ~Robin Williams We're getting ready for a party here! Plants left and right! Everywhere I go, there's green, and lots of colour too! Primula and pansies are blooming right now and are safe to be placed outside. Everyday something new is being transplanted or seeded. We no longer need to dream of spring but simply enjoy it- for now....

This has been an incredible week! The weather is fabulous and the snow seems to be disappearing like magic! The low spots are still incredibly mushy and a nice warm spring rain to wash away the dirt would be just the thing. I know a lot of you are keen to get out in the soil and dig around, searching for signs of life. :) One of our team members spotted robins this morning and I heard swans flying over on Wednesday!
We've been very busy here potting, transplanting and seeding. The onions are up about 2" and the pansies are blooming nicely. The hanging baskets are getting hung up on the drip line and more containers planted with pansies and more. We have potted bulbs that are popping into colour and still lots of primula. Yesterday and today I was unpacking fertilizers and other boxes full of sprays, etc. It's a beehive of busyness and will keep on getting busier! Stop in some time and have a look around.

March 3...What a great day!

Forget about the cold air and step into spring with me. Imagine the warm soil between your fingers and dream about planting your gardens!
